First Aid & CPR Training for You

As one of Eastern Interlake Manitoba’s training providers, we offer a comprehensive range of courses, including over 15 Canadian Red Cross courses and 4 Heart and Stroke Foundation courses, since 2018.

Training is provided in-person and virtually in Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba, but we also service nearby communities of Pinawa, Seven Sisters Falls, Whitemouth, Beausejour, Powerview-Pine Falls, St. Georges, Selkirk, Winnipeg, and Nation-Wide across Canada.  Training for your group or organization can also be provided outside of these locations, contact us to discuss setting up a training program in your office or home town.

Canadian Red Cross Programs Offered by:

Prairie First Aid Training

  • Learn in a one-day course lifesaving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace or home. This course is for Teachers, Volunteers, Daycare Providers, Construction Workers, Administrative Staff, and more.

  • Learn over a comprehensive two-days, first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. This course is for Correctional Officers, Conservation, Fire Fighters, RCMP, Oilfield, Lifeguards, and more.

  • Learn how to provide care to children in a variety of age groups, and how to prevent and respond to emergencies. The course also offers youth the skills to promote themselves as babysitters to prospective families. This course is for youth ages 11-15 years old.

  • Learn basic first aid and safety skills. Participants learn about being safe when they are without the direct supervision of a parent, guardian, or trusted adult, both at home and in their communities. This course is for youth ages 9-13 years old

  • This workshop can be delivered as a 60-minute stand-alone session or added on to an Emergency First Aid or Standard First Aid Course. This course is for school employees, recreation, community center's, those who want to support a friend or loved one, and more.

  • First Aid Basics Workshop, you will be introduced to the basics of first aid in 1-2 hours. This course is for new/expecting parents, grandparents, family, friends, and more.

  • Shares knowledge on how infections occur and how they can be prevented, with a strong focus on how to use PPE correctly. This course is for front-line service delivery, retail, community and social services, and more.

  • Assists learners in developing a personal understanding of the effects of stress, loss, trauma and grief, with emphasis on self-care and personal protection. This course is for youth, workplace, professional responder, pre-requisite for the psychological first aid course.

  • Assists learners in developing a personal understanding of the effects of stress, loss, trauma and grief, with emphasis on self-care and personal protection. This course is a pre-requisite to take psychological first aid, youth, workplaces, and more.

Heart and Stroke Foundation Programs Offered by:

  • An interactive, gamified approach to provide an enhanced CPR & AED learning experience targeted to workplaces and schools. It’s short and fast-paced. This course is for everyone, workplaces, general public, recreation, and more.

  • Basic Life Support is a foundational course for healthcare professionals and trained first responders who provide care to patients in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings. This course is for nurses, heath care aides, dentists, physicians, paramedics, and more.

Non-certified Programs Offered by:

Prairie First Aid Training

Non-certified programs are great for individuals who do not require certification for work. Participants will learn the same great skills provided in certified courses, without the stress of testing.

All Canadian Red Cross courses we offer (except First Aid Basic workshop), meet strict guidelines for content and delivery. They meet (and exceed) all Manitoba Workplace Safety & Health as well as CSA requirements.

Please note: First Aid Basics Workshop is for empowering parents and families and due to the time and nature of the session it is not appropriate for those needing workplace first aid certification.

All Red Cross certifications are valid for 3 years from the date of issue and you may recertify anytime within that 3-year period.

This however may differ from what your employer requires. Many workplaces require you to take CPR annually. You must follow the requirements set out by your workplace.

Please note BLS must be renewed annually.

Yes, we provide onsite training for businesses and worksites. We need a minimum of 8 participants to facilitate a private group, travel rates apply outside of Lac Du Bonnet, MB.
We also offer private in-home and online basic first aid workshops (2-3 hours) with a minimum of 4 participants for non-certified courses.
Cancellation is 48 hours prior to scheduled training or regular fees will apply. We have flexible scheduling options to help you rebook.
