Opioid Harm Reduction Training

Opioid harm reduction training was created to give people the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to help in an opioid poisoning emergency. It also focuses on the necessary attitudes and attributes of an OHR helper. This workshop can be delivered as a 60-minute stand-alone session or added on to an Emergency First Aid or Standard First Aid Course.

  • COURSE LENGTH: The workshop can be delivered as a 60-minute stand-alone session or added on to an Emergency First Aid or Standard First Aid Course.
  • CERTIFICATION TERM: There is no evaluation component. The goal of the workshop is to ensure learners are confident with the first aid skills and knowledge to prevent further death and disability from opioid poisoning. All participants will receive a free naloxone kit upon completion of the workshop
